How to Study for a Test in 5 Days

How do you study for a test if you have five days? Well, thats a great question! Thankfully, you arent asking, How do you study for a test if you only have one, two, three, or four days. You gave yourself plenty of time to prepare fully for your test and didnt even consider cramming. Heres your 5-day schedule. Ask and Read In school, ask your teacher what type of test it will be. Multiple choice? Essay? Thatll make a difference in how you prepare. Ask your teacher for a review sheet if he/she hasnt already given you one. Also, get a study partner set up for the night before the test if possible–even via phone/Facebook/Skype. Dont forget to take home your review sheet and textbook. When you are at home, eat some brain food. Read your review sheet, so you know whats going to be on the test. Re-read the chapters in the textbook that will be on the test. Thats it for day one! Organize and Make Flashcards Pay attention in class–your teacher may be going over things that will be on the test! Take home your handouts, assignments, and former quizzes along with your textbook and review sheet. At home, organize your notes. Rewrite or type them up so they are legible. Organize your handouts according to dates. Make note of anything youre missing. Go through your review sheet, finding the answers for every question on there from your notes, handouts, textbook, etc. Make flashcards with a question/term/vocabulary word on the front of the card, and the answer on the back. When youre finished, put your flashcards in your backpack so you can study throughout the day tomorrow. Dont forget to stay focused! Memorize Throughout the day in school, pull your flashcards out and ask yourself questions (when youre waiting for class to start, at lunch, during study hall, etc.) Clarify anything you didnt totally understand with your teacher. Ask for missing items and ask if there will be a review before the test later on in the week. At home, set a timer for 45 minutes, and memorize everything on the review sheet that you dont already know using  mnemonic devices  like acronyms or singing a song. Stop after 45 minutes and move on to other homework. You have two more days to study for this bad boy! Put your flashcards in your backpack for more review tomorrow. Memorize Some More Again, pull your flashcards out and ask yourself questions throughout the day. Confirm a study date for tomorrow night. Set a timer for 45 minutes again when you are home. Go back through your flashcards and review sheet, memorizing anything you dont have down pat. Take a 5-minute break. If necessary, set a timer for 45 minutes again and continue if youre still unsure of any material! Put your flashcards in your backpack for review again tomorrow. Study and Quiz Throughout the day, pull your flashcards out and ask yourself questions again. If your teacher is having an exam review today, pay close attention and write down anything you havent learned yet. If the teacher mentions it today–its on the test, guaranteed! Confirm the study date with a friend for this evening. Ten-to-twenty minutes before your study partner (or mom) shows up to quiz you for the exam, review your flashcards. Make sure you have everything down pat. When your study partner arrives, take turns asking possible exam questions to each other. Make sure each of you has a turn asking and answering because youll learn the material best doing both. Stop once youve been through the questions a few times and get a good nights sleep.

Prior to 2016, both debt and equity securities could be classified as available for sale and their gains and losses reported in other comprehensive income. However, with the passing of Accounting Standard Update No, 2016-01, all equity securities must now be classified as trading and their unrealized gains and losses reported in earnings. After examining the history of available for sale reporting standard and running pro forma scenarios of Yahoo! Inc.’s financial statements, I have determined that it better reflects the true risks taken by the company for the unrealized gains and losses on equity securities to appear in earnings rather than other comprehensive income. In May of 1993, FASB issued Statement of Financial Accounting†¦show more content†¦Furthermore, even if management lacks the intention to sell, there remain events and circumstances beyond the control of management that can force the need to sell. By measuring the changes in fair value in net income it allows the investors to know the potential effects of these events and circumstances. Critics of the fair value measurement cite the increase in volatility that it causes in net income. A distinct disadvantage to reporting the gains and losses on the income statement is that these gains and losses have not actually occurred and may not ever be realized (Proposed change†¦, 2009). The input surrounding the current cost method indicated that the method was not developed enough nor well defined. The board agreed and discarded the method early on in the deliberations. Those who favor amortized cost claim that it avoids some of the temporary fluctuations in net income. The arguments against amortized cost include: 1) It reflects an irrelevant historical transaction price that is not useful in current investment decisions. 2) Use of amortized cost depends on subjective impairment models that can be manipulated to smooth earnings. With all things considered, the board decided that a c hange in fair value being shown in net income is a more appropriate measurement for equity investments. Compliance with an order, request, or submission to another’s authority is obedience. Just about everyone obeys someone or something on a daily basis without even thinking about it. It is normal and useful for keeping law and order in a common civilized society. Obedience is not a bad thing, it is just a way of controlling people. However, the opposite end of obedience is disobedience which is usually viewed as bad, especially in the context of a societal view. Both obedience and disobedience serve a purpose, from positive control through obedience, to denying control to avoid being influenced to do something immoral. Erich Fromm, Doris Lessing, and Stanley Milgram reveal how the effects of obedience can be negative and how hard it can be to disobey. Obedience can be catastrophic; during the holocaust, many men obeyed orders only to find they were puppets in an evil scheme. Needlenutz buys in bulk from our manufacturer to keep shipping costs down. The does offer an choice for our customers depending on the project they are making as they can buy in multiples or a single yarn roll at their convenience. We have a storage room that keeps all access bulk in. When customers return to the store for more of a certain product, we will have that particular type of product in the back for them if they do not find enough on the shelf. This is convenient for the customer so they can purchase the product(s) at there convenience and helps them budget costs easier. Providing services for our customers is an important need. We are able to provide high customer service for the consumer. They are able to view and try out the types of yarn, needles and accessories that we carry to make sure they are comfortable with the product they have chosen. Do to the size of our storage; we are also able to offer layaway service for our customers. Needlenutz will be a destination store; we will provide unique types of items from yarn, needles, stitch markers, yarn winders to yarn bags for our targeted market. My store will be moderate with some sales. We will communicate within the store and catalogs for communicating our products and up coming sales. Our store design will be relaxed, calming atmosphere in a free-form layout. We will provide a sustainable competitive customer servi. .peace. It keeps the customer in your store longer than quick in and out shopping. Our store plays two types of music throughout the day. In the morning is generally are 40 year old women who are looking for some shopping that involves quietness from their kids. They come into our store hearing sounds effect nature songs playing in the background. In the mid afternoon as our younger target age range of mid thirties come to shop, who are still on the go, just got out of work and doesn’t need something for them to fully relax too. We play 105.3 Hot -FM to playing a variety of cd’s like Bon Jovi to Alicia Keys. The scents that our store will be using are plug in fragrances that give off the smell of linens, floral and ocean breeze for the relaxation of summer. Winter we will be using the smells of sugar cookies, apple pie and maple syrup for the cozy feeling of home.
